2024 - Rollout of WWL Solution for Garden Centers incl. SAP Stock Room Management
In 2024, the SAP-based WWL platform was successfully rolled out across garden center locations within the cooperative network - marking a significant step forward in digitizing brick-and-mortar retail operations. At the core is the fully digital, media-break-free, and real-time controlled end-to-end process from plant procurement to point of sale, setting a new gold standard for the industry.
A particularly practical success factor is the widespread use of mobile MDE devices: Every in-store employee has "merchandise management in their pocket" with direct access to product information, stock levels, pricing, replenishment, and transfers. The intuitive interface allows for efficient workflows at the point of sale and increases both transparency and decision-making confidence in day-to-day operations.
This setup is complemented by the introduction of SAP Stock Room Management, which serves as the logistical backbone for warehouse processes - from goods receipt to internal transfers and replenishment. Tight integration with the central SAP system ensures consistency, auditability, and process continuity across all levels.
The WWL rollout not only modernized the digital infrastructure but also established a scalable platform that elevates productivity, customer experience, and operational control to a new level.
